Resetting the HP DeskJet 5150

Resetting the HP Deskjet 5150 can fix some of its issues like paper jams, print jobs that are stuck on the queue. However if you have issues that are related to print quality. I would not recommend doing a reset. Instead, i live you to focus on ink troubleshooting. To reset the DeskJet 5150 please follow the steps below.

Soft/Hard Reset Procedure:

There is only one way to reset this product, both soft and hard reset have the same type of procedure.

  1. Make sure the DeskJet 5150  is ON. If it is OFF please turn it ON and allow it to settle down.
  2. While the printer is ON. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
  3. Wait for 30 seconds.
  4. After waiting, plug the power cord back into the printer. This should automatically turn ON the printer. If not, then press the power button to turn it On.
