What does resetting do?
A lot of problems may occur in your printer. It could be slow printing or worst it may not be printing and unresponsive. Resetting the printer will basically restore your printer into a responsive state. There are several types of reset. One is to power cycle the printer. While power cycling the printer works, sometimes you need to do a more powerful type of reset. To do this, all you have to do is:
- Turn the Printer ON and let it settle down.
- When the printer is Fully turned ON and idle, remove the power cord from the back of the printer.
- Wait for 20 seconds.
- Press and how the “cancel” and “start copy color” buttons while plugging in the power cord into the back of the printer.
- The printer should turn ON and start the reset process, wait until it settles down and start using your printer again.
