When someone tells you to do a power cycle on your HP printer, this basically means that your need to drain all the power from the printer to return it to a responsive state.
Power Cycling the printer fixes a lot of HP printer issues. Some also call this process as a printer reset. To do this, all you have to do is:
- Remove the power cord from the back of the printer while the printer is ON.
- While the power cord is unplugged, press the power button for 20 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the printer and turn On the printer.
There you just power cycled your printer. Good luck!
